Licensing Model

N-Stalker Web Application Security Scanner 2006 is shipped in three commercial editions specially to fit your needs, including:

• N-Stalker QA Edition

  For developers and Software Quality Assurance Professionals, a solution to assess your custom web application.

• N-Stalker Infrastructure Edition

  For Web Server Administrators and IT Professionals, a solution to assess your web server infrastructure.

• N-Stalker Enterprise Edition

  For Auditors, Security Professionals and the entire organization, the most complete solution in one package containing Development (QA Edition), Infrastructure (Infrastructure Edition) and Audit checks.

License does not require one dedicated machine and may be moved from one computer to another according to customer needs. If you require running N-Stalker simultaneously on more than one machine, you should acquire additional licenses (contact us for special volume prices).

License can be managed automatically inside the application or via Customer Center (https://customer.nstalker.com). All licenses, products and technical documentation are delivered electronically.

N-Stalker can be licensed in two different license models, according to the needs of each customer. See available license models below:

• Perpetual License Model

  This is a software license agreement and provides user with the right to retain a copy of a valid N-Stalker Web Application Security Scanner for an undetermined period or until the end of product’s life is reached.

  To continue receiving updates and upgrades, customer is required to maintain an annual software maintenance subscription (Web Security Intelligence Service):

  • Perpetual License always includes gratuitous 1-Year of Web Security Intelligence Service.
  • Service subscription renewal fee is 20% of the product price (*), which is calculated by the current price list for the quarter.
  • Service subscription can only be renewed in multiples of 1 year. The starting date of Web Security Intelligent Service is always the date when the product was firstly purchased.
  • Web Security Intelligence Service will guarantee the following: Technical Upgrades, Updates for N-Stealth Web Attacks Signature Database™, future releases, add-on modules and complete Technical Support.

  (*) Exceptionally, N-Stalker Infrastructure Edition Service Subscription renewal fee is 40% of the current product’s price list.

• Annual Subscription License Model

  This is an annual software subscription service that provides user with the right to use a copy of N-Stalker Web Application Security Scanner for a limited time period that can be extended according to customer needs.

  To continue using N-Stalker Web Application Security Scanner, customer must renew Software Subscription Service. See details below for additional information:

  • Annual Subscription License always includes the benefit of Web Security Intelligence Service.
  • Annual Subscription License must be renewed by the end of subscription period and can only be extended in multiples of 1 year.
  • During Subscription period, Web Security Intelligence Service will guarantee the following: Technical Upgrades, Updates for N-Stealth Web Attacks Signature Database™, future releases, add-on modules and complete Technical Support.

IP Address Licensing Options

N-Stalker Web Application Security Scanner 2006 can be licensed according to the number of Web Application servers needed to be scanned:

Single IP License	This license allows scanning 1 Webserver IP Address (e.g. 192.168.1.1) for an unlimited number of times. IP address must be registered when software is first installed and cannot be changed afterwards.
8 IP License	This license allows scanning 8 Web servers IP Addresses for an unlimited number of times. IP addresses can be registered gradually; however, they cannot be changed afterwards.
Unlimited Corporate License	This license allows scanning unlimited Web servers IP addresses inside customer’s organization (Private IP Blocks – RFC1918 and Customer’s own Internet IP Blocks).
Unlimited Consultant License	This license allows scanning unlimited Web servers IP addresses (All IP address space with no restrictions). This is the most recommended model for Service Providers and Security Consultant Professionals.

Note: With the exception of Unlimited Consultant License, all available licenses are entitled for internal use inside customer’s organization and cannot be used for consulting purposes or third-party web application scanning.

Perpetual License Maintenance Service Renewal

• WSI Maintenance Service Renewal will be due after expiration of 1-Year gratuitous maintenance service.
• The renewal fee is calculated by the current price list for the quarter:
  • N-Stalker Enterprise Edition: 20%
  • N-Stalker QA Edition: 20%
  • N-Stalker Infrastructure Edition: 40%
• Service subscription can only be renewed in multiples of 1 year. The starting date of Web Security Intelligent Service is always the date when the product was firstly purchased.
• Web Security Intelligence Service will guarantee the following: Technical Upgrades, Updates for N-Stealth Web Attacks Signature Database™, future releases, add-on modules and complete Technical Support.
